Olan Mills was a privately owned photography company that was headquarted in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
History[]
Olan Mills was founded in 1932 by Olan Mills Sr. and Mary Mills. They provided portrait photography and church directories through two of its main corporate divisions: Olan Mills Portrait Studio and Olan Mills Church Division.
On November 9, 2011, Lifetouch Inc. announced that they purchased all of Olan Mills photography business, church directories, portrait studios, corporate functions and their production operation in Chattanooga.
Closure[]
In January of 2012, Lifetouch Inc. announced the closing of two of Olan Mills' three facilities in Chattanooga with 383 job losses.
